What ChatGPT Is Good For (and What It's Not) When You're Feeling Anxious or Stuck pt.2

ChatGPT can be a helpful tool for emotional help and mental wellness – when used appropriately and with the right expectations.

Many Singaporeans use AI chatbots to:

 process overwhelming thoughts
 explore work-related stress
 prepare for difficult conversations
 express and understand emotions through writing                                               learn about anxiety, relationships, and emotional distress

For those in Singapore who tend to overthink or feel emotions deeply, this structured approach can provide initial relief and clarity.

However, it’s important to understand ChatGPT’s limitations: ChatGPT operates primarily at the cognitive level.

It cannot:
 help regulate intense emotional distress
 identify signs of burnout or emotional shutdown
 process trauma stored in the body
 heal deep-rooted relationship patterns or emotional abuse

From a trauma-informed perspective, while intellectual understanding is valuable, it alone cannot create lasting emotional healing and change.
